AWANA MINISTRY OVERVIEW
Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
2 Timothy 2:15 - "Do your best to present yourselves to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of God."
CLUB INFORMATION
Since Fall 2005 AMBC has run its AWANA Clubs on Wednesday nights in the Fall and Spring from 6:00 to 7:30PM. Children are divided into age appropriate clubs.
- Puggles - for 2 year olds (must be 2 by September 1st) **
- Cubbies - ages 3-4 (must be 3 by September 1st and toilet-trained)
- Sparks - grades K-2
- T&T (Truth and Training) - grades 3-5
During each club meeting children attend Counsel Time (lessons), learn scripture through independent study in their workbooks, and play AWANA Games during Game Time.
** Puggles is a program designed for children of parents that are actively involved in a Wednesday night activity. The parent has to be a member of a Bible Study or a helper in AWANA for the child to participate.
EVANGELISM AND TRAINING
Our primary goal is to draw boys and girls from the surrounding community into the club ministry where they may hear the gospel and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. We also strive to prepare clubbers to fulfill the Great Commission through the outreach to the lost, perform service to the local church, develop leadership qualities, promote personal spiritual growth, and improve knowledge about God and the Bible.
THE AWANA EMPHASIS
While AWANA has many activities that interest boys and girls such as games and special activities, the heart of the program is Bible memory work. Believing that God means what He said when He promised to bless His Word, AWANA encourages the clubbers to hide His Word in their hearts. The clubber handbooks contain between 30 and 90 verses depending on the age group with material becoming more challenging as they get older.

WHERE DO I REGISTER? Registration is an ongoing process. Every Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30PM in the "Back Lot" you can register your child. You can also stop by the Church Office any time during business hours. The cost for clubbers who register in person is $30 payable by cash or check (made payable to AMBC).
ARE THERE OTHER FEES? If your child will be in the same club (i.e.; Cubbies, Sparks or T&T) and already has the uniform, then you DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE. If your child is in Sparks or T&T and has not completed their Handbook (workbooks excluded), then you DO NOT need to purchase another book. Your child will keep their current handbook and continue in it this fall. If your child will be advancing to the next club level (i.e., Sparks or T&T), then you WILL need to purchase a book and uniform. Should you need to purchase books and uniforms, you may purchase them in person or online.
