"Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

Ministry Calling: From early years through high school, my goal was to become a veterinarian. At the same time, I carried the reoccurring thought that God was calling me to serve as a missionary or in some ministry capacity. I tried to satisfy that nagging thought and “make a deal with God” by changing my college plans to attend Samford University, a Baptist institution, instead of Auburn University where I planned to study veterinarian medicine. There I could pursue a degree in religious journalism. That plan lasted one miserable semester at which time I finally committed to God that I would do whatever He asked me to do. The result was God’s peace and His direction through the years to bring me to the place I now serve. He has proved faithful at every step and I am thankful that He has brought me to where I am today and I look forward to what lies ahead.

What I Enjoy About Serving at AMBC: This is a church that loves the pastor and staff and gives us all the freedom to lead in the direction we believe God has given us to go. There is a spirit of love and warmth here that is incredible.

My Relationship with Christ: I gave my life to Christ as a young boy and experienced a great desire to grow in that relationship at different times in the years that followed – especially as God began to work in some specific ways during my senior year of high school. But it wasn’t until I reached college that someone helped me know how to spend time each day in God’s Word and prayer and to walk in fellowship with Him as I got to know and love Him more deeply and consistently. Today, more than anything else in life, I want my life to honor Christ.
